Interconnect recommendations

According to chatGPT, my 2 weakest links in my system, are my DAC & my interconnects. For a number of reasons, I am focusing on the interconnects first, starting with RCA from DAC to pre & balanced from pre to amp. My current interconnects are WBC Mogami 2549. Speaker cables are Transparent Plus. My USB is Cardas clear. I recently added the Stack Audio LAN silencer. I have a Furman P 2400 AR power conditioner & voltage regulator & Maze Audio Litz with billet plugs power cords.
Budget is open, new or used. Focus is on clarity, transparency and micro details. I want to match or slightly exceed the quality of my existing system.
My digital side of my system: Aurender N150 > Chord Qutest > PS Audio BHK pre > Moon 330A > KEF Reference 3’s.
If it helps, I am thinking used Dave or one the R2R (Holo KTE etc) as my DAC upgrade. Thanks!

I've used Mogami 2549 for RCAs for quite some time now.  I've had great success with Furutech 126(g) termination plugs and even better results with the KLEI copper harmony ones.  I have them made up in a shotgun config with the ground lifted at one end.  I use their speaker cables as well.  I like the high quality copper sound with minimal shielding.

Like @ghdprentice I have found chatGPT to be an excellent resource… not always correct, but neither are any of us. I have used it with excellent results, but sometimes ignore it  😏

Like @audphile1 & @ghdprentice chatGPT recommends replacing my DAC first & doesn’t recommend the DAVE as it is too analytical for my already analytical system. It recommends R2R like the Holo KTE, to provide a warmer more organic sound. Apparently great minds think alike.
@buellrider97 thanks, I agree audphile1 is a great resource. I have made many decisions based upon his recommendation

@erik_squires I don’t either, but it is pretty good at it. @marco1 Thanks

@hjdca Thanks

@kennymacc Thanks

@mysearcher257 I did ask chatGPT. It recommended “Replace with Audience Au24 SX or Zavfino Fusion OCC”

@mitch2 Thanks

@garebear Try it, you might be surprised. @lalitk Thanks

@lak Thanks

All thank you for your responses. I guess I will wait for my cables until I replace my DAC. My logic for getting 2 cables first was financial. I just bought the reference 3’s, my upstairs HVAC just failed & my wife needs major dental work. I could sneak the cables in… not the DAC. And my system sounds very nice right now.
Patience is a virtue.

@marco1 +1

After 100’s if not 1000’s of wire posts debates, arguments, You would think with little effort and research one could find all info wanted or needed. I’m curious what the percentage of commentary is initiated by people involved in the sales of said products, just a thought..

Cheers

“my system sounds very nice right now. Patience is a virtue.”

@signaforce - I think you got to the right answer.  Enjoy the “very nice” sound!

ChatGPT is an excellent resource, however, using it as an "Easy Button" will yield less than desirable results. Although those less than desirable results will be presented with complete confidence.

A single query as one might do in a google search is insufficient. If you're concerned about accuracy then you need to interrogate ChatGPT as to how it came to it's conclusion. The first thing to ask for is sources. For audio it's entirely likely that it's referencing a review an online audio review magazine. If so, read that review and come to your own conclusion!

I asked ChatGPT if a particular speaker and amplifier were a good match. It responded that they were an excellent match! After a few questions as to how ChatGPT came to this conclusion, it referenced an AGon post. Well, what luck! Then I realized it was MY post, a few sentences taken out of context to create an inaccurate conclusion.

@ghdprentice I wouldn't be surprised if ChatGPT was reading your own posts back to you.

Interrogate. Sources.
