Looking for an Amp or Integrated Amp with a solid midrange presence

I bought a pair of Omega Dyna 10 2-way speakers (8 Ohms, 91db sensitivity) that paired beautifully with my old Harman Kardon Twin Powered 930 receiver (1972) and PM 665 vxi integrated, that I'd swap out as the urge hit.  Over the past 6 months both units have needed repairs and after investing a fair amount over the years I'm reluctant to get these worked on again. Would anyone care to recommend a good amp that would have that deep musical weight the HK's provided? I tried the Yamaha AS801 but it was much weaker than the 100WPC implied.  My listening room is 14' wide by 16" deep.  Used for movies and 2 channel stereo only , no home theater .  Budget maximum would be $1500 range.

I appreciate everyone's feedback.

That’s not a weak amp (??), my daughter has one in her rig. That Yamaha should have had no problems with your speaker. In fact, you would be hard pressed to find something else better for under a 1000 bucks. What exactly did "weak" mean?

Do you have something else wrong with your speaker or anything else in the chain, electrical, etc? I mean you killed 2 amps recently and apparently the Yamaha felt real weak.

I suppose you could raise your budget to 2000 bucks and knock yourself out with a meatheaded Schiit Wotan. If the Wotan also felt "weak", you have other problems.

Class D Audio GaN amps will fill the bill well within your budget.
I’ve become quite impressed with what I hear out of mine.
They also have a try’em out period.

If you could find a used Krell 300i, that would definitely give you what you looking for. A Hegal 390 would also fit the bill. An electrocompaniet ECI 6 MKII also would fit the bill. I own all 3 of these integrated and can attest to their sound signature
