Seller and “ no reserve” and “ minimum bid” listed??

I see an item I am interested in but am confused by the seller listing the item as” No Reserve” but has a price listed as “ Minimum Bid”. I thought no reserve meant highest bid takes item.

Seller is correct, he has a minimum price, with no reserve.

sometimes minimum or starting bid is below an unstated reserve price, so all bids below that will not win the item.

no reserve, in this case, means the minimum starting bid will win the item if no higher. highest bid will win the item, even if it is just the single minimum bid.

Also this is a way for the sellor to get his minimum price  hopeing other people will also bid on the item before the auction ends without useing a buy it now price which might be to high that no one wants to bid on the item..

In auctions the No Reserve amount is hidden. The seller may have chosen an opening bid amount of, say, $50, and a Reserve amount of $100. When a bid is placed for less than the Reserve amount a notice comes up stating the reserve has not been met. The Reserve amount is not revealed until a bid is placed for at least that amount.
