Here you go: Revival Atalante 3 $3,200 new with stands, Buchardt Audio E50 $3,900 new $3,000 used but they do not last long, Philharmonic BMR (larger standmount) $2,000, Fritz Carbon 7 MKii SE $2,900 new
Your TSMs are really special (especially if they are the MXr version). If you want to try something totally "different", I would suggest looking at the Zu DWX ($1500-$3000 new depending on performance package and finish). They may be too large for your application but keep in mind they can be used standing upright with tweeter on top; turned upside down with tweeter on bottom; or on their side with tweeter either pointing to left or right. The main driver is wide-band (no crossover) and the tweeter just adds a little air on top. They are high-efficiency -- so if you care to try out a low power tube amp in the future -- no problem. They also are very enjoyable at low or moderate listening levels; as opposed to many other smaller bookshelf speakers that really don't come to life without turning up the volume. There is a very good podcast discussing these speakers here: https://podcasts.apple.com/us/ |
BMR are lovely looking and reviewed speakers. But they are rear ported and reviews suggest pulling them out in the room, perhaps not the best choice for bookshelf placement. One reason why I suggested the front ported ProAc Response. Also suggest ATC SCM 19 because they have a sealed cabinet and can be placed close to a boundary without much penalty. Both are above your budget new, but you might find a pair used. kn |
