@slaw...how is that new pressing?  I didn't get it.  I ordered the Tom Petty instead.  Heard the Prince was pretty good.

@mofimadness , I ordered the TP as well. Since Prince was so influential, I ordered "PR".

I haven’t compared it to my pp, but I wasn’t blown away by this pressing. I realized this was transferred from original masters to digital. Why a digital step is necessary, I don’t know. It seemed to me that having one less step ( going back to analog) that MFSL does regularly would be an interesting listen.

So no comparison yet but I felt it was lacking lower bass and could use a little more soul. I detected no edge or brightness.
