Quick Eversolo T8 Review

the Denafrips Hermes has one OCXO clock for both 44.1 multiples and 48.  The T8 has two femto clocks. One for each. So it may not be as simple as "which has the better clock." 

@ericrhodes1  Good point, and I agree and why I said it’s still an unknown which may be better.  I only said my money would be on the Hermes because it’s been used by many here (and some with DACs that themselves have OCXO clocks) with very positive results that is an indication it’s got a quality clock so is more of a known quantity at least at this point, but it is still an unknown so really can’t know without trying.

Interested in this streamer.  Has anyone that have gotten one of the early batches compared differences, if any, on the ethernet vs SFP fiber connection?

Just did a YouTube review.  Eversolo equipment has a ton of features but I had a bad experience with their A6 and A8 streaming DACs.  They wouldn’t stay connected to my wi-fi and they offer little support.  I went with a used Innuos Zen MK3 from a great local dealer.  It updates occasionally through wi-fi and they do offer service though at a cost if online support isn’t enough.  It doesn’t have a screen or all of the features that Eversolo does but I just care about quality sound and reliability and so far so good.  Love that the CD ripper allows me to have my CDs on the same device with one USB connection to my Holo Audio Cyan 2 DAC.  A great pairing.  The Sense app works well but i’m now using Qobuz Connect from my Qobuz app using my iPad.  Highly recommended.  

Bah humbug! The Audiophile Style reviewer didn't say he changed out his switch just sfp modules. I found the T8 didn't like my Cisco, but it had no problem with my LHY or TP-Link. So, while that's still an issue, it doesn't mean that the SFP is altogether broken.
