Totem acoustics has a wide array of speakers that may interest you. All excellent sounding. I have the Totem Tribe Towers. Small footprint with outstanding sound.

Have the itch yet again. $5-6k budget for floorstanders.
Well I've owned around 20 floorstanders over the last 30 years. Ridiculous I know but for me that's the hobby: trying new gear every 1-2 years. Anyhoots currently have Zu DW6 Superfly in my main rig, Wharfedale Evo 4.4 in the small TV room. Have both tube & SS amps I rotate. Yesterday I sold my SVS Ultra Tower (the prior version) ergo gots me thinking, so fun to go shopping, no? I listen to mostly jazz, on vinyl & via Qobuz. Some beats also (downtempo/chill). I used to rock out but nevermore. Prefer to stay under 100lbs; not getting any younger. I do have a SVS sub the SB 2000 pro btw.
Here's my short list:
Anyhoots, who wants to chime in?
Great list. Before shopping for new, you might consider visiting a site like The Music Room. I was shopping for a new set of speakers with a budget of $10-15k. I found a pair of perfect (they appear unused) Focal Sopra No.2 black oak finish, in original boxes with all original materials for $12k. A new pair of these is $23k. The Music Room didn’t know how old they were but the boxes, that included each serial number, indicates they were manufactured in March 2021. All I can say is I’m soo happy I looked at pre-owned speakers from a reputable outfit that does complete inspection, testing and provided comprehensive photos. I also purchased a Zesto Audio Andros PS1 phono stage for $1,800. It had worn 12AX7 tubes that I replaced for $300. It sounds incredible! New, it runs $5k+.
Just something to consider. Other than being a customer, I have no affiliation with The Music Room.

You have picked speakers than are all over the map in sound characteristics. @erik_squires is right about Dali & Goldenear , and the Klispch are in a world all their own. Depending on your room and power, they are great for jazz and you’ll definitely be glad you have the 2000 Pro! ( that’s the sub I have also) There’s a review on New Record Day (YouTube) of the Legacy Signature SE speakers you might want to check out and there’s a pair on USAudiomart now for $6K. One question, Why’d you get rid of the goldenears and put basically the same speakers on your list? All the best. |
