Anyone in this hobby lonely like me and wish they could “hang” with a fellow audiophile?

I had to ask this question. Because that’s where I’m at currently. I created a nice little smartly tuned system that I’d love to play for others. As well as a knowledge base that’s strong enough now to listen in educated fashion to others’ systems as well. I just wish I could invite someone to listen, or vise versa. But all my audiophile friends are states or continents away. I live in a small town in east coast Florida and just don’t know anyone in my region who’s an audiophile other than dealers.
Any thoughts?

Will post system in next post

Thanks!

Brag about your world class system all you want. I want hear about other people's amazing  hifis and wish more of them would complete a virtual system. Everyone of them is unique and a reflection of their owner's audio journey. Of course, it's so much better to meet in person. Nevertheless, any sharing of this wonderful hobby worthwhile, even we are sometimes separated by oceans.

If that's what you thought I was doing, you completely missed the point.  I'm merely suggesting that I have a system that is worth listening to and was hoping that a fellow audiophile who lives nearby, might want to visit and listen to some great music together, perhaps with a fine dram of scotch as lubrication,  Ideally, I would visit his place as well and a friendship might develop founded on our peculiar hobby.

@oldrooney Re "Old Me Better"--saw Keb' Mo' at Humphrey's in San Diego about a month ago--of course the crowd demanded he sing it and of course he did, but he prefaced it by saying "This is a song i liked when i wrote it but I now hate it more than any other song i've ever written"--didn't elaborate but we were all thrilled he sang it 😀

On topic, this forum is a great way to share the "loneliness" of being an audiophile--i wish my wife would enjoy sitting in the music room and listening with me but maybe she wishes i would sit in her quilting room and watch her--best left unasked.

@orenstein

We would like to see your system. There is a place under your USerID to put photos and ID your components. It is really helpful to see where you are coming from. Great way of introducing yourself.

@wyoboy So Ken Mo can stir strong feelings of opposition— in himself?

Would he be better off as a lonely audiophile? I hope not. I consider him a creative musical talent and I’m glad he shares that talent with us.
Personally, I need to see if there is a group that meets within 100 miles from me, between Raleigh and the coast on North Carolina.
