Has the Company behind Fluance not protected their property in production with a Global Patent? 

I changed my mind on Fluance. I think the Pioneer PL-30-K  for $50 more is the better TT.

says included cartridge tracks at 3.5 grams.

I use MC cartridges that track at 2.0 grams and consider that heavy, 

I prefer my MM cartridges that track at 1.25 grams

Anti-Skate is related to Tracking Force, and it is tricky, many of us think it is advantageous to track lightly

much longer stylus life

less pressure/wear to your LP's grooves, especially if something is less than ideal.

IF anti-skate is OFF, it is more than likely 'less off', than when trying to get anti-skate for a heavier tracking force.
