Accuphase vs Luxman

Greetings! Is anyone here familiar with Luxman M10x and Luxman C10x? I currently have Accuphase components consisting of an Accuphase A-48S Class-A amplifier,  an Accuphase C2300 preamplifier and an Accuphase DC-37 Processor/DAC. My system is definitely an upgrade from my previous McIntosh MA12000 integrated which I still consider to be a really good component.  The Accuphase is clean, precise but not clinical, dynamic and musically engaging. Mids are lush and bass is impactful and focused. It's like a beautiful custom acoustic with incredible sustain, decay and detail that resonates emotionally (what can I say,  I love guitars).

But what will the Luxman offer me? I should mention that I have Klipsch LaScala AL5 speakers and an Innuos Pulsar (not Pulse) streamer. I guess I'm just curious and love exploring different avenues.

From everything I have read from reviews and user opinions, Sound-wise, Accuphase is preferred over Luxman.  Probably like Lexas over Toyota, both give solid performance but...

Glad to meet someone from Toronto!

The C-3800 was introduced in 2010, replaced by the C-3850 in 2015, and then the C-3900 in 2020.  Accuphase is replacing the C-3900 with the C-3900S as of October 2025.  The C-2900 was introduced more recently - I think around 2022ish?

Accuphase makes incremental improvements to its products and releases a new model every 5 or 6 years.  Accuphase is a small company of fewer than 100 employees that only makes 5-6000 components annually - all assembled by hand with strict quality control and obsessive attention to detail.  They have 26 engineers on staff working on R&D (and I imagine quality control) etc.

Accuphase makes incredible power supplies - I have a PS-530 and a PS-1250 for my amps.  They clean up the crappy power with high distortion in may old downtown neighbourhood and regenerate perfect AC with very little THD.  A PS-550 would work well in your system.  When I had an A-48 amp I had it plugged into the PS-530 and it made a huge difference.

So, pre-amp and power supplies are areas to explore for potential improvements to your system, and Accuphase offers some good options.

@lalitk I actually saw this site Gika Acoustics that you mentioned late last night actually.  I'm not sure if they ship to Ontario Canada.

But I stumbled across this local company closer to home.  It's in Ajax Ontario about 45 minutes north of Toronto.  This lady makes these incredible wood diffusers! All custom and very unique!

@toronto416  I'm definitely going to look into these Accuphase power supplies. Also, seeing that you have incredible experience with Accuphase,  is it better to upgrade the preamplifier or the processor- from the C2300 to the C2900 or from the DC-37 to the DC-1000?
