Anyone in this hobby lonely like me and wish they could “hang” with a fellow audiophile?

Iowa.  Lots of corn, chickens but audio stores long gone.  My wife knows I have fun working, listening, adding subtracting pieces.

My son and his friend always want to listen and enjoy the upgrades and better sound.   

Bottom line, setting up a listening session just isn't what most people do anymore.  I listen.  My system is in the basement, kind of isolating but I enjoy good sounding music, even by myself.

In general Audiophiles can be stubborn. condescending and at times obnoxious. Whether or not their audio system is < $5k or > $50k the Audiophile can be very inflexible. An example was a guy was constantly bashing the Wilson Audio Sabrina V at an audio demo unveiling this summer. At a previous event after the rep. played his demo tracks I suggested Keb' Mo' a well known male vocal Audiophile recording. After 10 seconds a couple walked out then abruptly 3 more followed nearly clearing out the room. I never assumed Keb' Mo' was that polarizing at an audio event. My point is try to have an open and respectful mind regarding others personal taste and biases when regarding music and components.
