I still buy CDs, both new and used. For used, I try to shop at my local record store(s) here in town and on occasion, Discogs for NOS CDs. For new CDs, I try to buy direct from the artist's website, their Bandcamp page, or Bleep.  A few years ago, I purchased a dedicated streamer for my system and really like it. It's not fancy - the Cambridge Audio CXN V2 streamer, but it sounds much better than what I had been using before, and it encouraged me to re-catalog my digital library that had been sitting idle for years. I also used the streamer purchase as an excuse to start replacing bad quality MP3 copies I had with high-res files.

I might be one of the few people on this site who buys digital albums. For me, it's a way to support the artists I like as well as build up my personal collection, plus I have digital albums and CDs that are not available on streaming services.

If you're interested and live in the northeast check out nyrecordfairs.com. Weekly schedules and are often held in places like churches or american legions.

I find eBay to be a GREAT place to shop for used CDs. If you want it, likely someone out there has it for sale.

If you can’t find it on eBay, Discogs is also a great option.

Streaming is very convenient, but since I’m tired of subscriptions and I want TOTAL control of what I listen too, I purchase CD’s (& vinyl) and rip them to flac files.  Then stream from my NAS.  I have a Bluesound Node, an NAD C658 and a Wiim Ultra.  all are great, budget friendly options.

I buy all my CD’s, SACD and DVD-A on eBay. Usually many different alternatives price wise & condition to choose from and usually with free shipping.
