Audiophile Grade Wall Receptacle

Moving homes.  Any recommendation for quality wall receptacle?   Pangea?  Audioquest?

@mitch2  In summary, I agree with @mijostyn, the Hubbell 8300 provides excellent grip of the plug blades, which is one of the two most important jobs of the outlet (grip and conductivity) ... If I were in the market for outlets, I would probably purchase the Hubbell 8300 and be done....

And here is the spec. of Hubbell 8300.  I scratch my head why there are so many folks recommend this particular receptable while its power-contacting material is primarily brass - 25-30% of thermal conductivity of copper.  And you know steel is worse.  Why why why, ask bud dry...

The above specs is for a current production Hubbell 8300 duplex outlet. Junk for feeding audio equipment, IMO.

You would have to find a NOS Hubbell  HBL8300 Hospital grade duplex receptacle that Hubbell stopped making many, many, years ago.

Here is an example of a HBL® Extra Heavy Duty Industrial Series that was the base unit for the 8300 hospital grade outlet. Go to page 6 and see the cut out of the outlet. 

FWIW the only difference between the two outlets is the 8300 has a green dot, signifying it is listed as a hospital grade outlet. Therein the equipment ground contact is beefed up to withstand more physical abuse and to maintain contact pressure against the male ground pin.

FWIW, back in the day, no longer made, was the Hubbell 8300 Compact/Slender body hospital grade duplex receptacle. It was preferred over the deep body HBL8300 outlet by many audiophiles back in the day.

Albert is fine as far as I know; I speak to him periodically and on occasion go to a listening session at his place in Dallas. He stopped distributing the Porter Ports a while ago- they were a special order from Hubbell and he simply ran out of inventory. I think I got some of the last of them when I moved to Texas and set up my room here. 

Question for the folks that like unplated copper--it tarnishes. Do you clean the contacts on the receptacle?
