Recommend a good router/modem combo please

Hi All,

So I'm going to ditch the Xfinity gear and buy my own modem/router combo. All brand new to me. I live alone and the only thing I stream for now is music. I have been checking them out and have been eying the Netgear Nighthawk CAX30. I also currently have 3 TPLink adapters and one of them is running my rig for my streamer. Will a new router/modem combo mess with this?

 

Any recommendations on that or any other unit? I should mention my home is just under 2200 sq feet and the signal kinda sucks in my house.

FWIW, I will be placing my Network Acoustics Eno streaming System filter and cable on USAM next week. It will be at a bargain price,  IM me for details. I am the original owner bought from a authorized dealer. I have something new coming next week to try.

My modem/router mesh system is set up the same as mitch2 in separate rooms with a few differences.  I use the latest xfinity combo modem/router with no issues for the same finger pointing reason as ghdprentice after having different brands.  I currently use a Linksys Velop mesh that is about 3 years old with no issues in a difficult home to cover.  I also use Linear power supplies, an EtherRegan switch, have optical isolation and a Stack Audio Smooth installed at my streamer.  Sooo many good ways to set your streaming up. Good luck with your set up!

*One other benefit option of my xfinity tower is you can set up a second network which I do for my second system.  Each system is on a different network.
