Did you try all the optional i2S settings for both the Airlens and the CD player? If so you may just be out of luck, and I’d contact Holo for suggestions. It is most likely not the HDMI cable as most will work fine unless you’re using some obscure cable of some unique design.

@ssand1 I do not own a Holo May DAC, but a very good friend of mine does. As I understand it, is that the PLL on the Holo May can conflict with I2S. I suggest turning PLL off when attempting to work with I2S. My friend decided this was too much of a PITA, as his principal source is a Lumin U1 via USB. He has a Shanling CD transport which is I2S capable, but finds it easier to just use digital Coax.

Any pin configurable device will match up with partnering device, there are 8 possible settings, one will work. @jazzman7 may have given you possible reason it isn't, otherwise you don't have correct configuration. |
