Most Musical 6NS7 tube for a Preamp?

 I have been back to running NOS.  Sylvania Bad Boys in the output stage

I lucked into a pair of those ('52s I think) and have been running them in the balanced input sockets iof my SLP05.  I love them.  "The Iron Fist" is what the individual who gave them to me called them.  He also gave me  a pair of National Union 6F8G that he described as "The Velvet Glove" and I like them, but for different reasons than I like the "Iron Fists."  If  you wanted to try 6F8Gs, you would need adapters.

 Questions for Don Sach DS2 preamp owners: I am new to tube amps and preamps, but bought the DS2 upon strong recommendations from an EE, Sony VFET power amp DIYer, modded balanced Aikido preamp builder https://glass-ware.store.turbify.net/ainost.html   and fellow diyAudio.com member. Regardless of what subjectively pleasing sound tube electronics may bring, clarity and accuracy, not mellow, syrupy, embellished sound are essential. Indeed, I wonder if many tube line stages provide this, though I think Pierre still uses his Aikido to drive his upgraded Sony VFET power amp. I bought the DS2 preamp to alternately drive my First Watt F4 and J2 power amps for the new my > 93db speakers I am building. Perhaps one or both amps will prove to sound better driven directly by my DAC. But for the neutrality and accurate imaging I want to achieve, how much can this be optimized without consequence by with the choice of 6SN7 and/or other tubes with this preamp?
