Capacitors for Linn Linto phono stage Recap

Hi
I’m considering a Recap for my Linn Linto phono stage.
Attached is a screenshot of the main PCB.

1. Other than the 14 Capacitors in the attached picture, are there any other Capacitors that need changing ?

2. I read in the various forums, various preferences of Capacitors types that are worthy. Is it that different types are good for different phono stages ?
Which brand/type regardless of budget will give the best performance ?

3. Which internet shop is reliable and sells only original parts ?

1 X Yellow+ Black ?? (see picture. Are these Non-Polarized Capacitors ? do they need replacement too ?)

I think the yellow one is a varistor and the black one is a thermistor. If not defective, leave it as it is.

2 X Red ones ?? (see picture. Are these Non-Polarized Capacitors ? do they need replacement too ?)

These are poly caps and will not degraded over time, if not defective, leave it as it is.

2 X the following. what are these values ? doesn’t fit the notation shown in a post above ?

h4
2.2
50v

These two are 2.2uF 50V smd electrolytic caps.

22 X the following. what are these values ? doesn’t fit the notation shown in a post above ?
J1
22
50v

Those are 22uF 50V smd electrolytic caps.

🤞

Thanks imhififan.
So we have the shopping list of 48 caps below…
I added a link for each cap type with search results. I would appreciate it if you can recommend or link to any specific one that you prefer (if there is one in my search at all. If there isn’t please link to one…).
Of course they need to resemble in form to the ones I have in order to fit the Linn Linto PCB…

By the way imhififan,
I have a problem with my Linto : It stops working after 30 minutes of work. When it gets cold it works again for 30 minutes. So I guess it wouldn’t hurt to replace the thermistor as well, to be on the safe side, right ?

5) SG230 Thermistor

I think it's better to address the power supply issue first.

If you suspect the thermistor causing the problem, install a new one and test if the problem goes away, then go recap the power supply.

If everything goes well, then go ahead to recap the phono board.

Of course they need to resemble in form to the ones I have in order to fit the Linn Linto PCB…

Totally agree! Measure the size and lead spacing of the existing caps, then choose the longest life with highest temperature rating. A capacitor with service life of 3000hrs@105°C is equal to 12000hrs@85°C.

For those smd electrolytic caps, tantalum capacitor is better if money is no object.

imhififan,

I made a final list with purchase links and (99%) matching dimensions. Please approve it :-)

1) 4 X Rubycon 105c 200v 220uF 9030aw:
The original caps are MXR series which are no longer available and had a lead gap of 10mm
https://pdf1.alldatasheet.com/datasheet-pdf/view/145362/RUBYCON/MXR.html
This one is actually much better rated and has a narrower leads gap of 7.5mm (non issue in my opinion)

As for Tantalum SMD caps, they only come in box shape and I wasn’t able to find them in the cylinder shape I need.
