Best connection between Auralic Aries G2.1 streamer and PS Audio Directstream dac?

I am currently using a Wireworld Platinum 8 XLR digital cable between these two components but what would be a nice upgrade? I am told that digital XLR is the best connection and if so what would be a nice upgrade to my Wireworld Platinum 8 XLR and is XLR in fact the best connection?

USB is the best connection barring using I2S.  I have tested the Directstream DAC with several streamers and have settled on USB.  Easy to do side by side comparisons.

I found the AES/EBU connection much better sounding than USB between my Auralic Aries G2.1 streamer and PS Audio Directstream dac.

The Wel Signature AES/EBU cable is a nice upgrade over the Wireworld. I am enjoying my new sound.
