Homebreww Stepped Attenuators

Looking to buy some good controls and make my own Stepped Att control box for my tube amps,Looks like the Amps have a 100K input sensitivity so is that a good control value?Will be looking to use the stepped att controls on a Rogue 120 monoblock and Antique hurricanes, Switched back and forth.

For "switched/stepped attenuators:"
With 100k input impedance, 10kohm pot will be fine, even 20k, logarithmic best, linear will work also, but it will come on tap much quicker/earlier.
