KEF KUBE 10b or 12b w/LS50 Wireless?

I’m thinking of picking up a sub for my KEF LS50 Wireless speakers and am eyeballing these two.  The room in question, my man cave, is about 15’x15’, about 10’ ceiling. The speakers sit on my desk about 60” apart.

Is the 12b overkill or will it work well? I’m sure the 10b is enough but for another $100 I can have a setup that can move into a larger room later if I want.

Thanks for any input.

Thanks for the input. Just wondering if the 10” will blend with the LS50s better?
Either should blend easily.  The whole 'smaller drivers are faster/more-agile/tighter/more-musical' thing is a myth.
The LS50 is an excellent speaker for sure, the Kube will fill in the missing sub, but without the same finesse as the LS50. The 50’s do work better on stands and IMHO have plenty of low end when set up right. R400b would be a better match, used prices should bring one in on budget
Thanks for the input anygreg,

I’ll checkout the R400b.  My other option is a SVS SB12 NSD which I have and am not currently using.  Floor stands won’t work as they need to be on my desk.  I do have some IsoAcoustic Aperta stands I could use but I don’t want to make the KEFs too high from my sitting position.
They are great stands by the way, I use the KEF X300A in my office desk mounted and they are fine, or should I say, good enough for the purpose etc.

i was at the official UK launch of the LS50 and the new LS50w, both are excellent speakers, with the latter outstanding value and quality. They really do shine in the right environment.you will have to be careful you don’t detract from this when adding a sub (or boom) hence the r400b may fit the bill better as it is more refined and very capable, but fits the Kef signature sound, now the Ref 8 is a whole other proposition. Good luck with your hunt, which ever way you go  you’ll end up with a nice sounding system
