SS Hard Drive with Bluesound Node 2

I don’t know if my setup would be of interest to you, but I will share it nonetheless.
I have a BS Node 2, and have a very, very large library of music on two external drives. One is a Toshiba small USB mechanical HDD and the other is an Iomega USB mechanical HDD.
I decided to invest in a 4TB Western Digital MyCloud HDD. This device is not a HDD that connects to a computer, but rather setup as a stand alone storage drive that can be seen on a cell phone, Ipad or computer. It acts as your own personal MyCloud device. On the back of the MyCloud HDD is an external USB that backups my music files to another HDD in case of drive failure.
I have moved all of my large AIFF music files (my whole library of digital music files) to that MyCloud drive and the Bluesound app on my Ipad finds those files and plays them via my home wireless network to my stereo. I was skeptical about how well it would work, but I have a good router and repeater. It works flawlessly and sounds great.
In fact I can play those files wherever I am over my phone by using the MyCloud app on my phone. Conversely, I can send pics or files via a phone cellular network to that MyCloud drive.

I'm curious if you hear any difference in sound quality playing cds directly to the system or playing ripped cds through the B/S, then into the system. 

No difference I can tell at all. In fact I think the Bluesound’s DAC is great. It is as good as my Schiit Bifrost Uber and neck and neck with my Benchmark DAC! To my ears.... the MQA files offered via the Tidal stream sound better than any other files or CDs I have.

BTW I may have not been clear on where the MyCloud resides and how it works. The MyCloud is a NAS device connected directly to my router via an ethernet cable. The Node 2 can access these files and I use the Iphone, Ipad or computer (any control device I have with the BluOs app) to pick or choose the music files I want to play on the Node 2.
