Title and artist search

I have been searching for the title and or artist of a song that got some air time back in the early 70's.  I can recall the following lyrics.

"i'm leaving the city, I'm leaving the city, I'm leaving the city behind."

Can anyone recall?

thanks for response,

not canned heat.  it was kind of a soft rock pop song, and for the life of me cannot remember anything more then the lyrics i posted.  Sure it was a more obscure artist, probably a one hit broadcast kind of group.

@ncarv...I found that one also. Carpark North wasn’t started until 1999 according to what I could find. mas1951 said it was from the early 1970’s.
