2 subs?

In order to use 2 subs do you have to have 2 preamps? It just seems confusing to me.

Connect one sub to the Right channel pre/sub out and the other sub to the Left channel pre/sub out.The Right sub will recieve information from the Right channel and the Left sub will recieve information from the Left channel.Simple but effective.
Some like the RELs can be run off the power output of the amp, one on each channel. I run mine this way. Two are better than one but if the choice is between one really good one and two so- so ones I would go the good one, you could always add another later. I have often turned one of mine off for some reason and not noticed that only one is running. I use mine for music and cross them over much lower than the typical HT set up. My HT also uses subs , there I use either an electronic crossover or a passive box run off the power outputs of my main amp to drive the sub amp. The RELs are of course powered subs.
My peach pre only has one set of out puts so I had to use a set of y connectors on each side, is it better to have a sub out as far as music goes? Thanks,Scott
Just put the single sub in the center between the 2 mains. Move the gear to a corner. Your sound will improve 10 fold
