Any further impressions from the last Zavfino PC’s you added in your system? I am also breaking-in newest Fina OCC MKII. Will post in couple of weeks my thoughts.
Zavfino
I took the advice of these folks with a power cord, the Prima MK2
I could not be happier with this cord, something that would easily cost $2,000 or even $3,000 from other better known cable makers. It’s outstanding, for about $500. Absolutely amazing build, and packaging too. It sounds great, very quiet. I am sure the cheaper PC, the Majestic at $390 is very good too:
I now have the Prima speaker cables on my way. Call me “sold”.
No BS, truly top quality cables company that flies under the radar. Very affordable too. Take a look. No relation to the company, just a happy first time customer, thanks to my Audiogon friends here

@audphile1 ....Balanced IC are designed to work for long runs regardless of brand. I don’t foresee any issues or compromises with sacrificing sonics or noise. I used to run a 25ft of XLR’s between my preamp and amp, heard no difference between a 3ft and 25ft pairs. |
Did you get Fusion RCA or XLR’s? I’m asking to ensure that in case of RCA IC’s, you’re using the cable in correct orientation (direction). You should install Fusion RCA cable with metal ‘shells’ farthest from source component. You will find these metal shells mounted closer to RCA connectors on one end, that end needs to go on preamp or amp input (if there is no external preamp in the chain). |
Congratulations on completing the full loom of Zavfino, aren’t they amazing. Since you asked, I do have another cable brand that I am concurrently using with Zavfino. Check out HIJIRI Cables from Combak, Japan. They only have two lines (thank god), one is high performance to cost and cost no object “Million” series. For more details, you can check out these cables at their home page - www.combak.net or in my digital system page. I am using Million series PC, Speaker and Interconnects. A word of caution, they are very additive so only try them if you’re ready to fork money for complete loom :-) |
Don’t you love when everything comes together like a perfect harmony. I have been a huge advocate of full loom, especially analog cables. As far as LAN cables goes, I highly recommend Network Acoustics ENO Streaming Cable. The best I’ve heard for the money before you spend crazy money for a JCAT Signature Gold LAN cable. |
@grannyring Here is the link on their return policy, https://zavfinousa.com/pages/refund-policy The Majestic MKII is comparatively stiffer than MK1 version. I own few pairs of MK1 versions. What length you’re looking for, maybe I can spare a PC for you to try. |
@thyname, Zavfino does have a USB cable (it will be uploaded on their website soon). Here are the specs, in case anyone is interested. The Majestic USB cable (retail $132 for 1.5M) utilizes high purity PC-OCC single crystal copper conductors and high temperature resistant PVC insulation. Each core is tight pitched and twisted for a very high copper content per meter. Dynamically impressive and open while providing the purest detail transfer to your source. Specification • PC-OCC Single Crystal 6N Copper Conductor • Tight Pitch Stranding • Cotton filler insulation • Full coverage shield • Spaced layer extrusion • Braid 1: Anti-static direct braid red polyester • Connectors: 24k gold plated • Lengths: 1.5M |
@grannyring Congrats on your purchase of amazing HIJIRI Nagomi power cords. Having heard both of these PC’s in my system, I concur with your assessment. The Majestic MKII at their asking price are pretty amazing and going to satisfy most end users. However, the HIJIRI Nagomi and Takumi power cords are in different league albeit at much higher price tag :-) |
“I installed the used Dart into a Audioquest Niagara 1200 that powers my 2 front JL F-113 subs. I must say, the Dart seems anemic compared to my DIY cord. That is, the bass is barely detectable. “ @ozzy, I am curious to learn if you’ve tried the Dart elsewhere in your system? My pair of REL Carbon Limited are powered by Zavfino’s Majestic MK1 OCC 12AWG. I did not experience any loss in bass when I switched from my Furutech FP-S032N 12 AWG Power Cable. |
@thyname, Thanks for the comprehensive and detailed impressions of Zavfino loom. I’m glad they worked out beautifully in your system. @ozzy, Please allow Dart to settle in, at this point you got nothing to loose. And you know the upside if you end up preferring Dart over Galileo SX :-) @hickamore, Congrats on your new cables. Which Zavfino PC’s did you buy? Please allow them to break-in for atleast 200 hours and post your findings. |
@ozzy, Please email Raymond - [email protected] and include couple of pics of broken IEC. Let’s hope he can get it restored to original specs. |
@sdl4, In my system, Arcadia leaned towards warmer presentation whereas Fusion had more balanced sound. With Arcadia, you get the warmth of copper and top end sparkle synonymous with silver conductors. Since my system already has a slightly warmer presentation, I end up preferring Fusion over Arcadia. In my opinion, both cables are quite capable of rendering upper details, gorgeous mid-range and low level bass as long as your system is up to the task. What is worth pointing out here is Zavfino uses PC-OCC copper which yields to absolute transparency, tonality and naturalness that often lacks in cables made from OFC. |
@sdl4, By no means, Fusion is a bright sounding cable. If you feel your current cables lacks bit of top end details then Fusion will add touch of 'sparkle' without being edgy or bright. As @thyname stated above, PC-OCC is currently the purest copper conductor currently available. I suggest you reach out to Raymond and try to audition both cables and let your ear guide you which cables offers the best synergy in your system. |
+1, @thyname Shorter or longer than 1.5M length can be ordered. I was able to order PC’s in 1.0M and Speaker cable in 3.0M lengths. |
aside from nice packaging, these cables are built to very high standards when you consider metallurgy and aesthetics! Many others are using the PCOCC but I’ve not come across any other cable brand that offers such great value. Enjoy your new cables. Please allow atleast 250-300 hours of break-in your system. |
I was told by Zavfino that their speakers are directional. In the absence of directional arrows, use the brand name on shrink sleeves for your orientation. For example, if you are reading Zavfino, the O should be on amp end for left channel. For right channel, the brand name should read upside down (onifvaZ) with O on amp end. I have the instructions in PDF but don’t know how to upload a doc here. I will request OP to assist me with the upload. |
Thanks @thyname |
I agree @thyname. Including an instructional piece of paper or even uploading them on their website can easily eliminate the ambiguity surrounding the directionality of Zavfino cables. |
