This is an audiophile tuner in terms of sound quality. It is sweet and rolled off at both ends. Furthermore, it is not good for receiving distant stations or DXing. It is a nice looking analog tuner that I enjoyed for several years. I recommend you try the Tuner Information Center on the net for comparisons and reviews, as it gives a straight forward evaluation of this tuner and many others. I personally prefer some of the old Kenwoods and Luxmans for sound and distant stations --- only after mounting a roof antenna.
