The Yamaha and the Oppo are equal in ergonomics as far as I can tell, aside from the things I mentioned. The Yamaha has more advanced network/streaming than the 83 series but less than the 93/95 series. Build quality is better than the 83 but not much inferior to the 95. I have not used the 93.
