WHY DO PEOPLE FEEL THE NEED TO COMMENT ON CABLES AND EQUIPMENT THEY HAVE NEVER HEARD?

I have seen loads of comments on cables and equipment that people have never heard. Why is that?

If it's just wire and connectors, they're the same.
