Warning - Audiogon pfish email trying 2 steal info

I just received a pfish email saying the following:

Your audiogon Account Will Be Updated .

The account will expire unless you will re-enter your personal information.
This problem concerns all Audiogon members.

You must fill in the form within 24 hours after receiving this e-mail,or your account will be suspended.
So we kindly ask you to co-operate and fill in the form required for validation..

THIS INCLUDES A LINK THAT TAKES YOU SOMEWHERE ELSE AND ASKS YOU TO UPDATE YOUR ACCOUNT INFO AND CREDIT CARD INFO.

I am sure most here are too smart to fall for it, but I thought I would put up a post.

I got the same email and knew it was a scam because I'm not even a member! I've posted here before and that's how they found me, I'm sure. In fact, they may be trying to scam those of us who post using our email addy as the username.

If you click the link, the first thing they want is your credit card number and the site is not even secure!!!

I hope nobody falls for this one.

Here's a link to all phishing scams being tracked by government.

Administration,

So you think my eMail address was given out by me to someone here on the site and that is how "scammers" were able to send me the dumb message?

I am not familiar with how computers work except for the basics. This is the only way I know how to contact you.

Thank You, Pat
I almost get PayPayl Phishing email daily, ebay phishing email
about twice a week, "US BANK"'s few times a month but haven't gotten the Audiogon's yet.

Thanks for the warning. I hope we're all to smart for this crab...
I also got this Phish email.

I have checked with Audiogon about it because it appeared bogus, and Audiogon responded to me that it is definitely a FAKE.

Do not respond to it.
