VPI JMW 12.5 replace tonearm wires

I want to upgrade my VPI 12.5 tonearm wires. Can anyone give me advice how to go about the disassembly and reassembly?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to do this myself. For the curious: I received a gift of high-end Cardas wires. I would like to give them a try. Can the existing wires be removed without destroying them?
