Tube amps: The answer to the missing base

I asked my friend Mark Stephens of Hot Rod Audio to convert two antique Magnavox tube chasses to bi-wired monaural amps: The result was 24+ tube watts for each channel, with separate leads to the base and mid/high-end connections to my Jon Anderson tower speakers. The bottom end is jaw-dropping and the internal crossovers give me clean, defined highs and sharp, fast mid-range attack, with complete separation, seamless presentation and, above all, that sweet tube sound. I couldn't ask for more. I recommend the concept.

Were both the amps missing a base? and once the missing base(s) was (were) replaced; do that think that is the reason why the bass reproduction is now jaw-dropping? Just askin.... ;~)
