Surge Protection and Conditioning

Recently I found that my line conditioner had negative effects on my systems overall sound. I would like to know if my line of thinking is correct if I assume that a surge protector without the line conditioning shouldn't effect the sound of your system?

no, your assumption is incorrect. ordinary surge protectors, of the sort you might use with your computer, do affect negatively the sound of the component(s) plugged into it.
surge protectors have to much junk inside them. get the ps300 or the richard grey power plant. you can also put ground fault recpital in the wall which is better then a surge protector. you want clean power which is not ruted from other curcits.
