Squeeky noise on vocals

Listening to music is my only hobby for all my life because I don't drink, watch sports (I don't even have TV channel now), play golf, watch movies, etc. I am not an rich audiophile and I had been happy with cheap Sony for a long time. But since I was widowed and staying with stereo longer and longer, this noise drives me nuts to insanity and stepped into replacing stereo toys to get rid of this noise.

Contrary to what I have read from all sorts of information, this squeaky noise occurs on vocals regardless of volume level. So it has nothing to do with insufficient power supply on critical demand or volume level. Then million dollar amplifier will not help to eliminate this noise also.

Please help me out. I can spend only so much for this gig. Is that coming from recording source or my ears screwed up?

If you mentioned what your source is, I missed it. Do you use vinyl or digital, or both? If your only source is vinyl, it may be a problem with your arm/cartridge setup.
