sonic differences between cary slp98 & slp98 'dc'

hello,
just wondering if anyone has had either of, or better yet, both versions of this pre & what you liked/disliked about them (i.e. what differences). i currently have the stock version & am considering the upgrade. any thoughts or advise will be greatly appreciated.

Yep, she's a keeper. I think you'll be one happy listener, especially at the price! Tube rolling will alos yield great benefits.
thanks triode, sorry for the delay. i forgot i started this thread.... do you still have your '98 ?? i think i'm going for the direct couple, some fairchild stealth diodes & sonicap platinum in the outputs....
I have the direct coupled version with oil caps - better bass control & slam, none of the "wooliness" that is often (rightly or wrongly) associated with Cary house sound. Kevin Deal at Upscale Audio is something of a guru when it comes to Cary upgrades.
