Signal Used for Testing Speaker Sensitivity

Is there a typical method for testing speaker sensitivity? I understand that one uses 1W signal and measure the sound volume at 1 meter. However, what frequencies do they use? 100 Hz, 1KHz, 10KHz, or some combination of them?

My guess is that each manufacturer uses his/her own method. I read it somewhere that the most important speaker specs, published by manufacturers, are height, width, depth, and weight. I think this guy was wrong though, because he forgot color! lol...
