Do you have multi room capabilities with your pre? Do you have other amps with volume controls? Will you need a way to control the volume in the other rooms (in wall volume control or tabletop volume controls)? Or, are you happy controlling it all from your pre?
You really only need 1 amp for the whole house with a speaker selector and some sort of volume. It gets quite complicated from there...start reading a lot.
