Schroder: Model 2 or DPS?

My quest for a new TT and arm has brought me to the Schroder line. I was considering the model 2 but has anyone (I think Chris has but others?) listen to the Model 2 vs the DPS? Is the difference huge or minimal? My current arm is a VPI 10.5. My cartridge is a Helikon however does the Schroder accept all types of cartridges?

Hey...someone just told me that the DPS Schroder arm can only go on a DPS turntable. Is that a fact???
"Someone" has been smokin' the funny stuff again!

Any Schroeder arm can go on virtually any table.
No, you can use the DPS on any table. You need to make sure you can have an arm board that can mount a schroeder, thats all. I've used it on a Scheu, Garrard, SME.

I own a carbon 2. The DPS is better and worth the money, but the model 2 is the best value arm. Like everything in life, you pays your money and takes your choice.
I had the carbon 2 for a couple of years, and really prefer the DPS. On my turntables the 2 was an absolutely worthwhile improvement over good unipivots. The DPS I find is a masterpiece of an arm and not really outclassed by any other arm i've heard.
