scdc555es not reading RollingStones hybrid sacd

So I was listening to "Out of Our Heads" and noticed the SACD light wasn't on. I started punching buttons and it would not read the SACD layer. I pulled out a couple of other SACD's and it read them fine. I went to the basement and got my scd-ce775 and it reads the Stones hybrids fine. Is there a trick to get the 555es to read the Stones hybrids ?

No trick. The 555 should read your Stones' SACDs fine.

Try this SONY Reset Procedure .

I tried this last night before I went to bed and it worked. This morning its a different story and I can't get the player to read the SACD layer. I'll check and see if its still under warranty.

Hi Tim.

Based on when the C555es was manufactured, I doubt if the SONY is under warranty. If you need to send your C555es to SONY for repair, you will need to send it to the Laredo facility. Search the SACD forum archives over at www.audioasylum.com for more about this.
