À nice dac : little bit à “clean” sound ,. It sounds like The MSB ref.dac. : i miss the natural view . the experience of The Music (the ability to feel). : I compared them with the Metronome Technologie C6 and - Le Dac :the Metronome was the winner in all areas…and not so expensive than the 2 others…
Rossini Apex by DCS - Home Audition
Well….. It sounded awesome in the showroom at Audio Salon in Coral Gables. John set up an A/B demo between the Bartok (no slouch) and the new Rossini and you could here it right away. A more delicate detail and something pretty amazing and more pronounced in the bass - Darker - Very organized and super tight - Intricate. Now this could be helped by the some $120,000 of cables and connectors ( maybe more $$$) and the Gryphon Mephisto putting a dent in the floor or those amazing DAW’s (minus Gun Turret)… I have the REF6 that John used for the demo…. So when John offered for me to take the Apex home to test out in my system, I’m pretty sure he already knew I was getting my checkbook warmed up and ready…
It’s day three now at home and I’m hooked. It’s just more of everything we love about getting that perfect tickle in your ear. There’s real system synergy here. I don’t need new speakers…(yet) I need this new DAC…!
In summation…. I’m so screwed…!
