Recommendation for Louis Hayes cds?

Lately, I've been compulsively (how else?) listening to the Nancy Wilson & Cannonball Adderly cd, as well as Horace Silver's Live @ Newport 1958. Both are great records. I was impressed with the musicianship on each and began looking at the lineups. I was surprised to find that the drummer on both is Louis Hayes, about whom I know very little. Wikipedia isn't very helpful on this one, either. Anyone have recommendations?

Good ear Marty! Louis Hayes is a monster of a drummer that fit into the pocket of many an outstanding rhythm section. My favorite of these contexts was Horace Silver's bands of the late 50s. You might want to try "Blowin the Blues Away". The cut "Sister Sadie" is as funky as they come and Louis is a big part of setting up the groove.
Siliab,

Thanks for the heads up on "Blowin the Blues Away". I'll chase it down ASAP.
