Pro-Ject Debut Acrylic Platter Sticking to Hub

I have a Pro-ject Debut Carbon. Recently I upgraded to an acrylic platter. I have noticed that the platter tends to stick to the hub when I lift it off the plinth to change the speed from 33 to 45. I usually have to re-thread the belt.

It wasn't like this when I had the old metal platter as the platter would just come right off. Has anyone else encountered this, and if so, do you have any suggestions on how to prevent the hub and the platter from sticking to each other?

Try a thin coat of graphite on the spindle.

My platter is a bit different, but when removing it I place a small piece of wood across the spindle. Then hold the platter with the fingers, push down with the thumbs on the stick, this way you can pull straight up without lifting the whole table.
