Power cable status ?

I am using NBS Master II and Shunyata Viper V2 power cables for years in my high-end audio/video system (e.g. Krell ams and preamp, Lexicon MC-12/RT-10 video, Apogee Diva speakers). Now I consider some upgrades of cables and system components and wonder what the current status of power cables (and they make a difference!) is. How do PS Audio xStream Statement, Shunyata Anaconda VX, and Transparent Audio Reference XL compare? Are their other 'favorites' for those who consider to spend several hundred $ on a power cord?

When I first started considering upgrading my power cables I did alot of reading on-line. So, after alot of reading of reviews and opinions of others, I went with the Ensemble Megaflux PC's. One review that I read compared the Ensembles to the Shunyata King Cobra, the reviewer favored the Ensembles. Then a few months later, I was speaking with a friend of mine and he told me that he heard these power cables that I just HAD to try. The cables were made by a small company out of New Jersey called Virtual Image. So, I got a hold of 2 of the V.I. Sledgehammer power cables. I almost instantly noticed an improvement over the Ensembles.
Shortly after getting the V.I. cables, and getting rid of the Ensembles, V.I. made some upgrades to the Sledgehammer and also introduced a new PC, called the Pile Driver. After installing just one Pile Driver, my wife from the next room, comes in and asks "what did you do to your system?? , It sounds much nicer.". So, I have been using V.I. power cables ever since. This is just one more option for you to explore if you choose. If you search other threads, you can read what I wrote about the V.I. cables and/or you can e-mail me if you have any questions.

Just a note, I have no vested interest in V.I., I am just a firm believer in their products.
