PHK record cleaning machine

Hello. What do you think about this? http://www.maquinaphk.hpg.ig.com.br/home.html
It seems to have the same principle of an automatic VPI (automatic scrub and vacuum from above), but cheaper than the KAB EV-1.

The only inconvenience is that you will always need to have a separate household vacuum cleaner hooked up to the unit. I do like the size of the unit with it's small foot print, but the VPIs do offer an all in housed unit. I'm glad you brought this to our attention, and I hope for others to chime in
$135 for some pvc pipe fittings and a plastic box that really amount to nothing more than a vacuum sweeper attachment. I'll stick with my own homebuilt rcm.
It's more than "some pvc fittings and a plastic box"-such as a motor, threaded shaft, felt contact areas, assembly, marketing, overhead, etc. etc. and etc. Disparage it if you will, but the price shouldn't be a criticism-especially looking at what else is available commercially at that price point.

Yeah, it's not for me (that's one slow-turning motor) but I appreciate the creator's ingenuity.
Good evening all,

Who has actually tried this record cleaning machine and can speak from a personal experience? Thanks much.
looks cool. I use an expensive (2000+) record cleaner. I wouldnt put it past this little sucker to clean records almost OR just as good. You would have to give it a try. Cheers
Well, when all is said and done, I guess the only thing is to give it a try and see what happens. It could be a Keith Monk Killer (smile). My mentor and friend has built his own record cleaning machine, but I don't have the room, tools or time right now. I would like to do that in the near future.

This is a very compact machine without too many moving parts to go wrong. Can you tell I am trying to talk myself into the purchase of this beast?

Bob
Good evening all,

The PHK record cleaning machine is on order and I am waiting for it to arrive at my doorstep. I am waiting with baited breath to see exactly what this very basic looking machine can do for my records.

I've had one for about 6 weeks now and have cleaned ~100 albums. I have no complaints!!! Good product for the price.
I have one of this for more than one year ...I can say that it works really fine...it was the most cheaper and effective upgrade I have made in my system....it works like record cleaning machines costing much more..Just use a powerful vacuum cleaner for better cleaning.
