I don't have this particular disc, but I do have a lot of the remastered Mercuries in both CD and SACD form. If by "noisy" you mean tape hiss, that's the way they were recorded back in the 50s and 60s, and when they did the remastering they didn't do anything to get rid of that sound, presumably because it could affect the high frequencies in the recording.

my copy of MERCURY LIVING PRESENCE CD titled "mercury YOU ARE THERE! 22 CLASSIC HITS A SONIC SPECTACULAR" is discernably noisy . may i please inquire of those here who own same also notice said noise . please excuse the caps as this is as printed on CD cover .
