New Tweak --- Its Fantastic

THE NEW TWEAK

Over the good part of this past year I’ve been beta testing a new tweak, the name of which is "Total Contact." Its a hi-bred graphene contact enhancer that is different from all other contact enhancers that have come and gone for one reason or another. I’m not new to these contact enhancers, having had quite a bit of experience with a product developed by the late Brian Kyle and his "Quick Silver" contact enhancer. The "Total Contact" is different ... a LOT different.

"Total Contact" is graphene based and is not a vibration control. It eliminates micro-arching between two contacts. Micro-arching, much like Micro-vibration smears the sound in our stereo systems. Its the type of distortion that we don’t know is there .... until we eliminate it. There is no break-in as we know it. The sound is improved right off the bat, but what you hear is only a smidgen of what’s to come.

I tested three generations of "TC," each of which was an improvement over the previous incarnation. The final mix was cryogenitically treated and made for a more effective, much smoother application. It comes in a large hypodermic needle type plunger containing 1.5 ml of product and includes a instructional DVD and an application brush.

The application should be applied with a very thin coat to all of your electrical connections .... from your cartridge pins to your power cords. I did my entire system, including the ends of my fuses.

Upon initial application, you will notice an improvement in clarity, correctness of tonal balance and a more overall organic sound. But ... that is just scratching the surface of what this magic paste does. As it cures, the improvements become more apparent. Much more!

There are two real break-through events that happen almost to the day with "Total Contact," one at four weeks and another at eight weeks . At four weeks, you’ll get a real jump in clarity and overall improvement. That’s only a taste though of what’s to come at eight weeks. At eight weeks your system’s focus will make a jump in SQ that is so real - its surreal.

After 40 years in the hobby, and a total tweak nut, I have never heard anything that does what this graphene paste does. The see-through clarity at eight weeks becomes simply amazing. The "paste" eventually cures into a kind of polymer plastic and it seems that the sound improves with each listening session. So, its important that you leave your contacts alone for the duration. If you’re the type of person that continually switches wires in and out, you’ll have to re paste until enough time has elapsed to get "the cure."

The only problem I had was with the first batch and that had to do with shorting out a tube pin in the line stage. Use the "TC" very sparingly on tube pins, if at all. I only had problems with the line stage tube pins. The Amp, CD Player and Phono Stage has had no tube pin problems at all.

Tim Mrock, one of our fellow A’goners, is the developer of the product. Its taken Tim 15 years and several patents to get it right. Tim has "pasted" every electrical contact he can find in his audio system, all of the switches in his circuit breaker box, every contact in his car ... and has used it in commercial applications such as hospital circuit breakers, surgical lights ... and other places where efficiency and long life of electrical components are deemed important.

This product is highly recommended to anyone who truly wants to get the most out of his/her audio systems. There’s enough product in each tube to do at least two audio systems as it just takes a very thin coat on each application to be effective. The last tube was enough to do my system twice and then a friend’s system this past weekend.

Frank

PS: There were a couple of other A’goner beta testers of this product as well. Hopefully, they will chime in here with their experiences for comparison. I "pasted" both of Steve Fleschler’s systems a few days ago, perhaps he will comment on his results too. We forgot to paste Steve’s power cords though, so there’s a lot more to be had from Steve’s two fantastic systems.

@oregonpapa ,

Now.. what I need is an evaluation of the "blue" fuses w/wo this new coating. Is anyone up for this?
Tried Sil-Clear years ago. IMO, the minor positive effect wasn't worth the effort/mess.

Got a whole container. Anyone want it?
@thecarpathian

I've had the exact same thing happen to me on other threads.

@geoffkait

Your last post seems to try to dredge up the past.

"it's easily removed" .  Not Silclear!, IME!

Frank said the reviews or the manufacturer would way in in a couple of weeks. Let's wait for it.
"in which your humble scribe"

 Is this meant as a slight or a off-brand reference to any past issues, or a way to inspire others to react???

If I'm out of line, it could had not been a question if you had inserted "the OP" instead of "your humble scribe".

"and that's all I got to say about thayt" ..... (Forrest Gump)
@perfectpathech

Perhaps you should have chosen jafreeman as your Beta Tester?.

@oregonpapa ,

The shelf life of a new/unknown product.

Overbuying a brand new product that isn't refundable.

It seemed like a valid question, don't know why it would be tested.
If very little is needed to treat a system, why isn't it available in a smaller quantity? Maybe this would alleviate some concerns.
How many ways can we describe our differences?

In the end, it's all the same.
This, may be the, (free) way for us all to vent.

If I was the manufacturer. of TC, ...I'd have grave concerns regarding my initial product roll-out, VIA this, (way).

Good Luck!
@tommylion,

Your comment about the (pitting) on surfaces that are not visible to the naked eye and how that could be related to "micro-arcing" makes sense to me as well. I remember seeing a magnified gold plated RCA jack in an ad for CAIG I believe, years ago that showed this (pitting)....this being one reason for using their products.
In spite of how this product was rolled out to us, I always had interest in it.
This interest continues to grow.

I was thinking.. if I had TC at home right now, where would I first try it? I think I’d begin on my AC outlets..then go from there. Does this make sense to anyone?

How long does the included application brush last? Is there a some easy to buy alternative?

@tommylion,

I would start at the breaker box but that's were I draw a line. My thought has always been to start at the beginning then expand. Thanks for responding.

My memory of Sil-Clear was it's binder was some sort of conductive grease. I never had a migration problem with that product on my AC outlets. I don't know if TC has a "binder" or if it does, they'd say what it is.
@perfectpath,

You totally mis-read the intention of my post! My post wasn’t intended to be a comparison between the two products. I thought if anything, you’d see I am coming around towards possibly ordering! I had mentioned earlier in this thread that I wasn’t a fan of Sil-Clear. I was just responding to shadorn’s post., with an inquisitive ending regarding any binder used. wow!

...a step backwards???
@oregonpapa ,

That could (be) in the future. The last exchange kind of (really) soured me, quite a lot, maybe at least 50%.

I have other items of interest as well that are competing for my $.
Every thing being equal, I’d say yes as well.

All along, I was a somewhat skeptic but kept my ears open. When I had a valid question, never was taken seriously. Now, that I’ve been taken somewhat seriously, I was totally misread by the manufacturer.

This is not easily discounted.

Frank, you're not on commission are you?
@tommylion,

That’s the whole point, isn’t it. I (was on the hook) and the main guy and his BETA dissed me!

Could they bring me back?

Why do I want to give my $ to these disrespectful people?

We (I) have the power of the almighty dollar. They knew this and I was treated in a manner that was hard to overcome.

I just read Frank's response to all of my posts. Well, at least now, those posts are getting some attention?

Give me a break! My money is going elsewhere.

Well, when my CLEAR intention earlier was towards the (positive) aspect of the product you endorse, then, (finally) got a response from the manufacturer that was totally misread, I HAD SERIOUS QUESTIONS.

See.... Now I'm being dismissed again.

If as a BETA tester, (whatever that entails in a (business sense) includes a commission, YES, I think that has a bearing on the entire discussion here. I don't "have a negative attitude", if it is a clearly stated objective/benefit of the BETA tester. I'm sorry if this kind of transparency may offend you.

I was "on the hook" . You're GUY , cut the hook!

DEAL WITH IT!
Frankly...Frank....

Since you went low... I'll just remind you of other instances in which, (you chose for your own benefit, not to respond to a simple question)..

On the Synergistic fuse threads, I have made a comment or asked a question that wasn't threatening, but you never answered. Why? Was it that I again wasn't taken seriously? I'll give you an opportunity to respond here. (Unlike , just a while ago when you assume my intentions.)

You really are a piece of work.
The very fact that you're both taking so much time to disprove my posts, ( when you previously, (I assume, approved them) is a factor in other's thoughts as to how to go forward with this company.

Get over me and try to improve your company and it's quasi-employees.
It's kind of ironic now, that this discussion has evolved to the level it is now, after those who try to sell this product have deduced that I'm no push-over, Now, are finally making some concessions in their language,.

Maybe at some point, I'll try it. YOU MISSED YOUR CHANCE WITH ME!

Hopefully you'll learn from your treatment of me and people like me that we can respond with our sentiment and out pocketbook.

Best

@oregonpapa

Where are your quick quips now?

@oregonpapa
Says, "Do you honestly believe we are here to make you happy?"

YES!!

Isn’t that what any company is there for? The customer? You seem to have a twisted view of a relationship when things go awry from your twisted view of your mixed relationship w/ TC.'

Actually, (THE) trouble is, YOU trying to make A CASE for someone else (ME) to have a reason for your ongoing mistakes in the way YOU rolled out/ then responded to others for this new product!!!

I was a potential customer...

All of the sudden ... oregonpapa/TC's spokesman says... slaw, you don;t mean that much to us...

Is this a company, is this a spokesperson one wants to bring out their NEW product and have it excell?!!!!!!!!

More to come.
Check this out!!!!!!

Just for you/your company.....

A song by Player  "Baby Come Back"
@oregonpapa

"Uh, slaw ... what’s troubling you? "

"You’re just not that important, slaw" (( oddly enough, I (was) oreganpapa’s darling, he said, "I may be TC’s best proponent" or something like that)). now... Well... which is it Frank? You say one thing when it feeds your interests, but quickly turn on that VERY thing that fed that interest.

(I had logged off.. never to reappear here again. My human nature said... just one more time... Then I read the above.)

People, are these types of remarks towards me, just because I have a disagreement with the company and their BETAs...

...do they represent the type of people YOU want to deal with going forward in any endeavor?

If you, in the future, have an issue, do you feel you will be treated in any other way?
@oregonpapa

When he (or his employers..his representatives) made this statement,,,’’’’slaw, you’re not that important".

This was from a representative of a brand new company that’s trying to increase sales?????

I must be in a different atmosphere? Right?

I won't (GO) away.. not after the way you treated me...

@kedoades ,

Why would you want to deal with a company that disrespects it's potential buyers/customers verbaly (HERE) and seems to be proud of it?!
So, I was thinking,...Why would a decent, respectable person such oregonpapa, try to disrespect me,( someone who just disagreed with the way he and his masters)  tried to make the case for my (not) wanting to purchase their product???
@geoffkait ,

Well, I could have been the one to have made/remarked on this  noticeable change such as this but, @oregonpapa  prevented the need/or intent.

What a ___o_l_!
Can you confirm that I missed the fact that there where 3 versions of TC revealed in this initial thread or anywhere previously, until now?

Thank you.

I'm willing to be incorrect.
Two versions? I guess I must have missed this being addressed before?
Hmmm?
@oregonpapa,

Now!

Your question "since when have you been willing to be incorrect" is really invalid. OK, I missed it. You want to make a federal case out of it.

Again, you let your passion get ahead of whatever guides your posts here. (You really hold a grudge, don’t you?)

(for the record, I answered (now) to Frank’s question as to whether I could admit to being wrong)

I did not find it hard to do. I expect the same going forward.
Frank,

You totally mis-read me/people.

If you really thought the way you post, why on earth, would you continue to make (your case)? Is it that you feel "your case" has not been made? Then, if so, Is it that you still feel a need to have someone to blame for all of your negative comments/posts/roll-out, for this product? If so, Am I the (fall-guy) that you think may be your only outlet to let all of your past failures in your effort to advertise this product in a constructive, ongoing way that relieves you from your initial responsibilities?

You stated that I don’t want people/companies to succeed. How do you come to such a conclusion from my posts? When have I ever made statement that could support that sentiment? Of coarse, I do realize I’m asking the same person who made that crude accusation to respond to my question???

And...Frankly, Frank... I think the product does what others say it does. It is YOU that kept me from being a customer.

Slaw
You mentioned last week that I was a skeptic, as if that was something that is a negative? Do you really think others are suppose to just (fall in line) if someone like you posts positive comments about an unheard product?

A skeptic..what’s wrong with that? You seem to have an inherent, built in adverse reaction to someone that (may) have any question to a new product? It seems to me that your reply, (no, your role) would be one that would readily accept skeptics and try to guide them through your extensive product knowledge in a even keeled way to bring those (skeptics) around to the correct way of thinking about the very product you are trying to endorse?

What the hell is wrong with you?

I’m still here, just like I promised.
@yping

I guess, without you knowing it, you made my case by (your own words). ''There WAS the gobblygook", but you know this..right?

Thank You!

@yping

I think you need a description /or a definition of the word (skeptic)?

A (skeptic) by definition is one that has initial concerns.

So, how can a skeptic be a person who has any experience with any product that is under discussion?

GIVE ME A BREAK! I'm sorry you had such thoughts.
To @oregonpapa ,

I received a few audio devices this week that took my system to a new level.

What may be of concern to you, is that the over 1K I spent this week on tweaks, some of that may well gone towards your TC product....if it wasn't for YOU!

...and frankly, Frank, I'm glad you had no interest in this purchase,

Slaw
Not here to make trouble. Just wondering... since there is a shelf life... are the viles of TC sent to customers marked/coded with production dates?. Since there are no refunds, should the customer not expect a "fresh" made product? Just wondering. Thanks.
@theaudiotweak ,

Thanks for that post.

@oregonpapa ,

I’m still watching with interest, no hurry though. Thanks for asking.

My system has evolved very nicely since this thread started without the benefit of TC. Maybe someday...?
So that’s why my silk covered Furutech RW-1 wall diffusors sound so good!

I had previously thought there was a AKC-like registry for silk worms in Japan that were pure bread just for acoustic material? Hmmm.
I’ll probably order a (vile).

Based upon the overwhelming responses.

I’ll keep my findings, if positive, confined to myself, solely because of the way @oregonpapa treated me.

Be honest... would any of you who felt good about ordering this product find.... if your initial posts were ignored, then you were told, outright, "We don’t need you"?.. would you even be back to read (this) post?

I doubt it. So, if I order a vile...I WILL NOT post any positive comments here. I will, how ever, post any negative reactions. Why?

Because Frank said, and I quote, "we don’t need you".

..Is he suppose to be a favorite reviewer from the past?...........

@tommylion,

I understand the reasoning for your post.

But, having this discussion is a positive thing. Right?

I’m expressing my opinion based on Frank’s history. with me.

This is all I have to base my opinions on going forward.

So, in effect, you would have me (buy this product(), with all of the reservations previously noted and not have an opinion on his (attack) on me personally?

It has to do with the manufacturer, his choice of beta testers, how they react to the potential customer base, that will hopefully drive sales?.

For some reason, not yet known to me, you seem to want to make ME the scapegoat for the failure of how this product was rolled out? This is what I’ve said all along.

So, what you seem to want to refer to as a (grudge)..I correctly call it as a failure to understand the initial prospective of a new product and it’s correct influx into the marketplace.

I can take this one step further. Has Frank EVER questioned the posts from customers who’ve had positive experiences??

I don’t think so, Then I ask myself..why not? If Frank is such a respected reviewer, who’d want his reputation preserved, this, my friend, is of great importance?

I guess, I’m the only one who has ever questioned this?

So, I think it's important to actually remember how this confusion actually started. YOU seem to make me, a potential customer, out to be a "bad guy" or as @geoffkait would say, a suedoskeptic?

I’m questioning my previous decision to but a vile now? Thanks @tommylion.
