Need TiVo" 4 digit code for my amp

Try this:

Search for a code to control the volume on your A/V or stereo receiver

1. Cover the end of the TiVo remote control with your hand.
2. Hold down the TiVo and Mute buttons simultaneously until the red (or amber) light on the remote control remains on.
3. Remove your hand from the end of the TiVo remote control.
4. Enter code 1999.
5. After you enter the code, the red (or amber) light will flash three times and then remain on.
6. Press Channel Up once every two seconds. This will test hundreds of codes, one by one. Do not go any faster than this or you may skip over a code that works.

That’s all that’s mentioned on the TiVo site. Hope that helps.

@nonoise, Thanks for sending me the above TiVo instructions for controlling the volume on my amplifier.  I have already applied these instructions and the TiVo remote failed to connect to my amp.  I will follow these instructions again and see what happens.  Thanks again.  This should be an easy process and it is not.  

Musical Fidelity suggested I use the TiVo learning process to make the connection. Unfortunately, I started this process and discovered the TiVo remote used for my test would NO LONGER connect to my main amplifier. This required more time to re-adjust it.   I will visit my local cable store and get another backup TiVo remote for further testing.

This is the same issue we had with another amp until my retailer suggested I use the Marantz code 2013 and it connected immediately.  Once I get the 2nd remote, I will attempt to connect the TiVo remote to my amp using the methods suggested above. Thanks.

Since you had luck with the amaranth code maybe you can find a common code that will work with you Music Fidelity?
