I do not consider myself an audiophile by any means, but I do love music. I noticed your post, I live in Myrtle beach also.
my 2 channel system consists of:
legacy focus-rosewood
legacy 2 channel amp.
legacy preamp
legacy speaker cables
transparent speaker cables
legacy steradian
legacy interconnects
and a simple pioneer 300 disc player. ( I am lazy)

I was scanning audiogon, looking for a DAC, or cdp that accepts digital inputs. Was considering a musical fedelity, or electrocompaniet dac. Also considering the Ack dack. Other possibilities include a mark levingston or Cary audio cdp as they can accept a digital imput.

any suggestions would be appreciated.

I also have the Grado SR-1 headphones, but need a headphone amp.

thanks for any info
