MM Cartridge For VPI Scout, Help Please

Presently, I have a Denon DL 103 cartridge modified by ZU Audio mounted to my VPI Scout. (I paid 549.00 from Audiofiel for the cartridge) I am using the Denon AU-320 SUT into the phono input on my Audible Illusions Modulus 3B tube preamp. The phono preamp in the 3B is excellent.
I really don't think the cartridge is a good match to the VPI unipivot arm and I am really not all that thrilled with the sound. While the sound isn't objectionable, it is hardly engaging either.

Most of my vinyl is 70's Classic Rock. I want to go back to a moving magnet cartridge that would be a good match for my turntable/arm combo and that will play my 70's rock vinyl well. I'm looking for suggestions up to 500.00 new. Rest of the system is Odyssey Stratos Extreme+++ amp, Odyssey Kismet Reference Floorstanding Speakers, Esoteric Digital front end. I already tried a Grado Gold and Shure M97E something or other and wasn't impressed. I am wondering about the Ortofon 2M Bronze or Dynavector 10x5? Help please.

Sure doesn't sound like cartridge, the Odyssey Stratos I owned was "lean" sounding if thats your problem.
