Klipsch Cornwall IV

Hello all,

I'm interested in what people who have heard the speaker feel about it. I currently run spatial M3 turbos and have an all tube analog setup ( line magnetic, hagerman ) with an oppo 105 being the digital front end.

Previous speakers have been acoustic zen, reference 3A, Maggie 3.6, and triangles. I am more concerned with a huge immersive sound stage than I am with pinpoint imagery. I have a big room and have plenty of space between the back wall and my speakers if I need it.

Any thoughts?

Your not going to get a 20% Discount at Music Direct or Crutchfield. If your not getting at least 15-20% off MSRP for 90% of the brands out there your shopping in the wrong place.
I tried listening to the 2nd from the TOTL Tannoy's 30K-ish (GR??) powered by a VERY expensive VIVA 845 Tube Amp.  Put on some Zeppelin and was looking for a pillow to sleep on...as Lame as it gets.  Cornwall's are built for Rock...Tannoy's arent....If your into female vocals, Kenny G and other lightweight fluff the Tannoys are wonderful.
Sean at ZERO FIDELITY Reviewed the IV's on his Youtube channel. His room is only 9 x 12 and the Cornwall's did fine in that small environment..although I wouldnt want to try to escape a room that size with those speakers if there was ever a fire  :)
Nobody said they HAD to be placed near a corner/wall. It does apply just like AUDIO NOTE speakers will always work near a Corner/Wall. They are designed to do so. Go to the Klipsch site and see where they are placed OR look at any of their advertisements/brochures. ALSO watch ZERO FIDELITY’s review on Youtube. His Room is only 9 x 12 so guess what....they arent very far from the wall at all.
Supposedly you will hear a noticeable change...for the better...using the Line Magnetic 512 Preamp with the 845 Premium. Hope to find out one day for myself.
Awesome post Don. Thanks for sharing your experience with those 2. Now you need to check out the VOLTI RAZZ.  Better parts all the way around than the Cornwall's...especially the cabinet itself.
Cornwall's do just fine in small rooms. ZERO FIDELITY reviewed them on his youtube channel....his room is 9x12.  Mine is 13x15.  They work very well in all size rooms.  Triangle's have Jacked Up Tweeters so be prepared.
I own 3 pairs of Triangle's...which is why I gave the warning. Much like Monitor Audio and Kef speakers they have attributes many dont like. Good that you already know their presentation and what to expect.
Congrats BJ....Good to know the Coda works welll with them.  Recently picked up the #8 amp and the 7 Pre combo so look forward to trying them out on them down the road. Enjoy your new toy!!
Ive got around 15 pairs....4 more incoming shortly (Cube Audio Nenuphar's/Spendor Classic 100/Fleetwood Deville/Rosso Fiorentino Certaldo 2).  I'll get around to all of em eventually....if I live long enough. I like collecting depreciating assets that consume all of my free floor space :)
Cornwalls were MUCH cheaper than the Volti Razz (I have both). Not so much now with the price increase at Klipsch starting this week.  Think my IV's cost a little over 4K (Picked up in person) and the Volti's were more 5-6K with shipping.  If your happy with the Razz (Which has superior quality parts) why would you regret purchasing them vs something you havent heard??
Difference is you cant get a discount (Most likely) on the RAZZ.  You should be able to get at least 20% off any Klipsch speaker from your dealer...if not shop elsewhere.
I didnt get 33 off.  Got 25 locally last year sometime with Free Delivery.  I never buy anything anymore without at least 20% off and I havent failed to do so.
Move back to the East Coast Roxy and you can break mine in for as long as you like...and the RAZZ too!  :)
Forte IV are very unforgiving of bad recordings unlike the Cornwall IV. If you listen to Classic Rock for example you can forget about the Forte.
