Jolida/Black Ice Foz XT-R

Is the Foz XT-R worth buying or is it another gimmick that serves no purpose? I've read the reviews and they seem to be divided both good and not so good. I'm presently using the VPI jig and a Mint Protractor for setting up my VPI Scout and ART9 cart but my eyes aren't what they used to be and using these is getting more difficult as time marches on. I'm hoping that the XT-R or a Fozgometer would possibly make set up a little easier for me but I don't want to throw my cash away on something that serves little purpose. I've considered the Fozgometer for a while now but I've read so much about calibration problems with it that I've shied away from getting one. The XT-R would seem to serve a dual purpose as it could be used as both a set up tool and an inline adjustable crosstalk filter, but I've also read that it does little if anything and is a waste of money.

ART9/VPI Classic here.

The Mint is purportedly one of the nicer jigs. I have terrible eyesight. Buy a jewelers loupe.
The ART9 is pretty simple to setup. Between the VPI jig and a Feikert, I don't have good enough hearing to hear a difference in all those different alignments. I use Baerwald, and I'm done. Eyeball/ear the rest. Put a good record on=world peace.

Final OCD adjustment is done by your ears. I don't have a Foz meter, but I plug the table into a 10 year old Foz phono stage. I've read conflicting reports on the effectiveness of the Fozgometer. Regardless, I've been able to dial the ART 9 in without fuss.
