What exactly does the TACT do with the digital signal? I assume, the signal gets 'modified' with the appropriate eq and phase correction, would that not mean the signal would inevitably be 'changed' and hence 'degraded'? How can they perform all those tasks while being 'transparent'?
Thanks. I do have a TACT and enjoyed it a LOT. I am asking because many 'audiophiles' I have talked to, rejected the idea of placing a device such as TACT in the signal path, claiming that it degrades the signal. But clearly, to my ears, they do more good then bad. That is why I want to know what exactly happens before and after the TACT. TACT claims there is NO distorion whatsoever in the DD version
